200-Hour HPY Yoga Teacher Training
November 2026 – April 2027
Maybe you want to teach yoga.
Maybe you don’t.
Maybe you simply know there is more to yoga than the hour you spend on your mat—and you’re ready to find out what that “more” actually is.
The HPY 200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training is a six-month immersion into the practice, philosophy, history and living tradition of yoga.
Yes, you’ll learn how to confidently and safely teach yoga should you choose to become an instructor. You’ll study asana, anatomy, sequencing, cueing, modifications, hands-on assists, class development and the practical skills of holding space for others.
But this training is about so much more than learning how to teach a stretching class.
We’ll explore yoga as a way of life.
We’ll dig into the Eight Limbs of Yoga, the Yoga Sutras, Yamas & Niyamas, breath and pranayama, meditation, the subtle body, chakras, nadis, vayus and koshas, Ayurveda, nervous-system regulation, trauma-informed practice and the relationship between movement, energy and healing.
We’ll explore what it means to regulate rather than simply push through—to recognize when we need to build and replenish and when we need to clear, release and let go.
And perhaps most importantly, we’ll use these teachings to look inward.
Who are you beneath the roles, expectations, habits and stories you’ve collected along the way?
Yoga gives us tools not only to move our bodies, but to understand ourselves more deeply, heal old patterns, live more authentically and bring the principles of yoga off the mat and into our actual lives.
THE FULL 200-HOUR EXPERIENCE
Students completing the full certification will meet the second weekend of each month from November through April:

FEBRUARY — The Art of Teaching

MARCH — Living the Practice
Returning to the Eight Limbs • Yamas & Niyamas in real life • Ayurveda & the doshas • developing your own teaching philosophy • integrating yoga beyond the mat
APRIL — Finding Your Voice
Practice teaching • adapting for injuries and individual needs • mentorship • final practicums • integration • celebration
