Come help us harvest Fragmities for the thatching to roof the house in Cornish!
We have been given permission to harvest the invasive Elephant grass from the trail.
We will:
- cut down the grass
- remove and bag the seed fluffs
- cut the stalks to length, and
- haul it all out the 1 mile to my truck.
I will have a sled and some straps to carry the bundles out, but if you have other sleds or wagons, feel free to bring them. There will need to be a lot of grass harvested, so the more people to help ther merrier.
