About this Event
Harvest to Health is a six-week educational series presented by the Uuniversity of Nevada Reno, Extension Master Gardener Program and Extension Healthy Food Systems Team. Explore the journey of food from garden to table through hands-on learning and engaging discussions. Learn how to grow food in the Mojave Desert, build healthy soil, conserve water, harvest safely, reduce food waste, understand food systems, improve food access, and create a more resilient and sustainable food future.
Classes meet Tuesdays from 10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., September 29 through November 3. The cost is $15 per class. Participants will receive a seed-starting kit to help them prepare for their own fall garden.
Whether you're a beginning gardener or simply interested in healthy food and sustainable communities, Harvest to Health offers practical skills and knowledge you can use every day.
