Harvest Solutions Farm Volunteer Event

Join Second Harvest Food Bank of Orange County and the Office of Mayor Larry Agran at Harvest Solutions Farm on Saturday, March 1, 2025, from 8 - 11 a.m. This event is a fantastic opportunity to give back to the community and connect with fellow volunteers. The event promises for a day of meaningful work and camaraderie.

Located at 12751 Lambert Road, Irvine, CA 92618, the Harvest Solutions Farm offers a picturesque setting where YOU can make a difference. By participating in this volunteer event, you'll have the chance to engage in various farm activities such as planting, harvesting, weeding, and maintaining the fields. Fall/Winter crops include cabbage, broccoli, broccolini, cauliflower, spaghetti squash, acorn squash, butternut squash and lettuce.

With the cost of food remaining high and CalFresh emergency allotments recently ending, community partners across Orange County are seeing increased demand from our neighbors in need of food. In fiscal year 2024, the Second Harvest Food Bank of Orange County distributed 35,781,426 pounds of food and fed 442,154 individuals per month through their 403 OC partner distribution sites AND harvested 2,086,616+ pounds of produce for the community at the Harvest Solutions Farm.

Minor Volunteers:

Current age requirements are as follows:

Ages 7 and older with chaperone*

*Chaperone Requirements: Chaperones must be 21 or older and must participate in the entire event.

Directions & Parking:

Harvest Solutions Farm is located at 12751 Lambert Rd, Irvine, CA 92618, next to the South Coast Research and Extension Center (SCREC). To access parking, you will pass the SCREC main entrance on Irvine Blvd and turn right on Lambert Road. Please drive slowly and watch for pedestrians and equipment moving in the area. Parking will be along the fence near the check-in table.
