Harvest Poetry Workshop

Seasons change — and so have you. What have you been working towards this year? What have you harvested? Where are you on your path to becoming?

As Autumn makes her gentle appearance, we are given the opportunity to reflect and in our next Poetry for the Masses workshop, Harvest, we’ll be doing just that, together. Through guided writing prompts, we’ll be exploring themes of abundance, family, gathering, and new seasons. We will honor the roots that have shaped us this season, and envision what’s next.

The community of writers and artists that we have cultivated together is welcoming, fun, and light — and it’s the perfect place to nurture our writing skills, as well as our stories, memories, and dreams. Poetry for the Masses will uplift your creative voice and help you unearth the richness of your personal harvest.

If this is your first time joining Poetry for the Masses, welcome. Thank you so much for considering joining our quirky cast of writers.

PFTM is led by creatives Alejandra Roggero and Jacob De La Vara, with the intention of fostering a poetry community through workshops and events that make the radical joy of art accessible to ALL. And we’ve been doing just that, alongside Burden of Proof, a non alcoholic bottle shop and market located in the heart of South Pasadena. Burden of Proof is owned by husband/wife duo Dean Peterson and Obreanna McReynolds and they are seriously the best.

We are all so excited to have you. Please bring a friend and join us for another special night surrounded by wonderful community, poems, and seriously good NA drinks.

Tickets for our PFTM series with Burden of Proof are $25pp and here’s what’s included: delicious non-alcoholic mixed beverage served up by Burden of Proof, workshop prompts, writing materials, snacks, water, and 10% off all beverages from Burden of Proof day of workshop!

Our workshops and open mics are open to all peoples and bodies, as well as artists and creatives of all levels, interests, and disciplines. Our community is supportive, talented, and hilarious.
