Harvest Moon Music Festival — Nymboida, NSW (18–20 September 2025)Nestled deep within the Clarence Valley at the leafy Nymboida Camping & Canoeing Centre, the Harvest Moon Music Festival in 2025 offered an unforgettable weekend that felt like a soulful embrace of music, community and the great Australian outdoors. What started as a humble post-COVID gathering for musicians has blossomed into one of regional NSW’s most heartfelt grassroots celebrations — a boutique festival experience where connection truly comes first.
A Unique Setting Under the Stars
Set against the backdrop of towering gums, rippling river waters and starlit skies, the festival brought artists and audiences together in a camping atmosphere rich with warmth and camaraderie. With only 350 campers and 150 day-pass visitors, the event retained an intimate, unhurried feel, inviting everyone to slow down, connect and soak in the vibes of early autumn in the bush.
 Curated, Soulful Music
The 2025 lineup was a carefully curated celebration of local and regional talent. Festival-goers enjoyed performances from standout acts such as Troy Cassar Daley, Billie-Jo Porter, Hats Off, Black Cows, Brodie Buttons, Phil Wakeling Band and blues icon Fiona Boyes, among others — a mix of styles that threaded together folk, blues, roots and indie into an uplifting weekend soundtrack.
Friday night was a special treat for campers, with live acts, ambient audio-visual experiences and a communal BBQ setting the tone for connection and relaxation. On Saturday, the full festival program unfolded from morning until late evening, with bands and soloists taking the stage against the creekside setting.
 More Than Just Music
Beyond live sets, the Harvest Moon experience included market stalls, food vendors and community spaces where people could mingle, explore local art and flavours, and share stories under the glow of the rising harvest moon. Many attendees commented that this mix of music and meaningful community moments is what set Harvest Moon apart from larger, commercial festivals.
 Spirit and Values
At its heart, Harvest Moon is rooted in sustainability, inclusivity and wellbeing, with organisers and volunteers ensuring the festival remained respectful of its location on Gumbaynggirr Nation land, and supportive of artists’ mental health and community connection.
