Harvest Fest brings 19th Century Swiss Arts and Crafts Alive!
Once again, we invite you to join on the grounds of the Swiss Historical Village & Museum for a great line up of craft demonstrators and music at Harvest Fest. This year’s event is set for Sunday October 11th from 10 AM to 4 PM, rain or shine.
Visitors can watch old-world craft demonstrations including Swiss cheese making in our beautiful hammered copper kettle, rope making, blacksmithing, beekeeping, weaving, woodworking, and tatting. There will also be Swiss Bratzeli making demonstrations on the hour. Genealogists will also be on site for those of you interested in researching your Swiss roots!
Our alpine players, Maennerchor and Jodlerklub will be performing, as well as the ever popular Kinderchor. And don’t miss Damion Babler on the Schwyzeroegeli button box accordion. All 14 buildings and the Hall of History will be open, with guides in each to answer questions.
Bake sale treats, brats, grilled cheese sandwiches featuring Green County’s best, and Landjaegers round out the day. Oh, and "Discover Wisconsin" will be on the grounds filming the event for an upcoming television feature. We’d love for you to join us!
