Join us for one of Strumpshaw Fen's autumn wildlife highlights, our marsh harrier roost. Experience the thrill of watching, sometimes dozens of marsh harriers, gathering and circling, before descending into their communal roost. Be guided by our expert volunteer, Drew Lyness, for a fascinating walk onto the reserve at dusk to watch this spectacle.
Dusk is an excellent time to immerse yourselves in the beauty of these incredible birds. With luck, we will also see some of the other species that call the reserve home, including Bittern, Barn Owl, Kingfisher, Bearded Tit, Otter and more. All whilst enjoying the tranquillity of dusk out in nature.
