About:
Heather is a celebrated Scottish harpist and educator known for her dynamic performances and innovative approach to traditional music. Originally from Dunblane, Scotland, Heather has performed extensively worldwide, captivating audiences in the USA, Canada, Europe, and beyond. Her debut album, Nae Sweets for Shy Bairns, received critical acclaim, with The Living Tradition describing it as “a must-have for harp fans.”
Heather holds a First Class Honours degree in Scottish Music, a Postgraduate Diploma in Performance, and a Masters of Education in Learning and Teaching the Arts. As Principal Harp Tutor at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, she is dedicated to shaping the next generation of harpists.
A regular performer at prestigious events, Heather has graced the stages of the World Harp Congress, Harp Con Online, and Celtic Connections. She is also the founder of How To Harp, an innovative online platform connecting harpists globally, offering accessible and high-quality education for players of all levels.
With a unique blend of traditional roots and forward-thinking artistry, Heather’s music and teaching inspire harpists and audiences alike, making her one of the most exciting voices in the harp world today.
