Please join us to celebrate the launch of the book, Harnessing our Gardens! The publication features essays, poems, and intimate conversations with Joanne "Mrs. JoJo" Caidor, Laila J. Franklin, Annalise “River” Guidry, Adrienne Hawkins, Sarah “Nnenna Loveth” Nwafor, Isaura Oliveira, Jenny Oliver, Ellice Patterson, Nailah Randall-Bellinger, Lilly Rose Valore, Jessica Roseman, Saturn, Von, Makeda Wallace, Ella Wechsler-Matthaei, Pearl Young, and additional artists whose insights deeply informed this work.

Parking/Transportation

From downtown Boston, access is readily available via the Orange and Red MBTA lines, transferring to the 21 bus. Street parking is available on Norfolk Street. This is a highly residential area, so please be mindful.


Seating/Venue Description

Urban Farming Institute is an indoor/outdoor farm situated in Mattapan, Massachusetts. Our event will have tables with seating both indoors and outdoors. There are several flat and accessible routes throughout the farm. Be advised that some paths have gravel. There are multiple bathrooms, and one with a flat ramp.


Accessibility Information

There will be a low sensory room. Live CART captioning will be available throughout the book reading segment. This event does not have usage of stage lighting.
