HARMONYFEST 2025 with KIM NEWCOMB AND FORTUITY31 JANUARY 2025-2 FEBRUARY 2025 AT YHA YORK
All young singers aged between 14 and 25 are invited to take part in our HarmonyFest in 2025 in the beautiful city of York.
What’s on offer?
• Fabulous faculty : Kim Newcomb (The Ladies) and our very own Fortuity quartet
• Learn and perform 2 brilliant a cappella arrangements
• Focus on vocal and performance skills
• Introduction to quartetting
• “York’s got talent” contest!
• Full board and lodging for 2 nights at the YHA York
Registration now open!
We are delighted to open registrations for our HarmonyFest2025 young singers workshop weekend taking place in the beautiful city of York at the Youth Hostel. All young singers aged between 14 and 25 are invited to attend this exciting event.
Our faculty for the weekend will be the wonderful Kim Newcomb (Baritone of The Ladies international Quartet Champion 2022, vocal teacher and member of Sweet Adelines International Faculty), and our very own Fortuity Quartet (International top 10 quartet and twice Region 31 Champion Quartet)
.
The event will start on Friday evening 31 January and end after lunch on Sunday 2 February. All meals, accommodation, sheet music, learning tracks and workshop fees are included in the registration cost of £125.
Come and join the fun!
-Music in the morning-physical and vocal warmups with Kim and Fortuity
-Learn and rehearse 2 songs in 4 part harmony
-Explore performance techniques to bring the songs alive
-Opportunities to sing in a quartet - with loads of help and encouragement
-Enjoy some games and fun activities - tags, scavenger hunt, scratch quartets, "York's Got Talent"
