Featured Artist:

Aaron Kelly
Aaron Kelly grew up on the far edge of the Chicago megalopolis, where wide-open Midwest landscapes collided with the sounds of John Prine, Townes Van Zandt, and a lifelong commitment to empathy. His songs are carefully crafted, rooted in storytelling traditions, and built to endure.

Before stepping out on his own, Kelly spent years zig-zagging across the country with the band Overman, sharpening his voice as both a writer and performer. That restless energy eventually carried into his solo work, and in 2016 he released Barefoot and Bottomed Out, his first solo album. The record introduced audiences to a songwriter who marries raw honesty with finely tuned lyricism.

Making up for lost time, Kelly has been steadily building a catalog that showcases his depth and range. In 2022, the Aaron Kelly Band released its debut LP, Songs Still Sing—a collection that cemented his reputation as a songwriter of uncommon heart. That momentum carried into 2024 with Letting the Animals Out, a six-song EP that expanded his sound while keeping his storytelling core intact.

Along the way, Kelly’s work has caught the attention of American Songwriter Magazine, and his music continues to resonate with listeners drawn to sincerity and substance. Whether solo or with his band, Aaron Kelly writes songs that live in the space between grit and grace.

Dan Hubbard (Host)
Hosting the evening is Illinois native Dan Hubbard, a seasoned singer-songwriter who has spent over two decades carving out a reputation as one of the Midwest’s most honest and enduring artists. With ten studio projects, countless miles on the road, and a devoted fan base, Hubbard’s music blends timeless sincerity with wide-reaching appeal.

Known for his heartfelt lyrics and memorable melodies, Hubbard has been praised as “beautiful, powerful, and often seemingly effortless.” His upcoming two-part EP project, beginning with Vol. 1: Letting Go (fall 2025), showcases both his maturity as a songwriter and his restless creative spirit. Hubbard’s gift lies in connection—inviting listeners into stories that feel lived-in, personal, and true.
