New Year Lake District Party: 9th - 11th January 2026.

Join us for the ultimate New Year escape in the Lake District! We’re bringing together stunning mountain hikes, wild swimming, nature walks, campfire tales, and a whole lot of fun for an unforgettable adventure.

You’ll stay in a beautifully situated lodge surrounded by mountains, ideally located for our adventures, and from there, we’ll embark on thrilling mountain hikes and wildlife walks; both day and night. Get ready to spot birds, bugs, and other local wildlife. And yes, there’ll be wildlife bingo with prizes for those who spot the most species. Fancy a dip? Wild swimming in the crystal-clear lakes and plunge pools is exactly what you need! Dive in for a refreshing, soul-soothing experience.

Throughout the weekend, storytelling, adventure and photography will play a central role. Whether you’re an experienced storyteller or simply enjoy documenting the beauty around you, we’ll encourage everyone to capture the stunning views, whether through sketching, painting, or snapping photos. This creative element will allow you to connect with the landscape in a deeper way while creating lasting memories.

In between all the adventures, we’ll take time to relax and recharge with cosy cafe moments and wholesome roast dinners. And to keep the fun going, we’ll have a lively evening of games and a disco (yep, think highschool disco), and also an adventure film night to keep you inspired.

But, of course, we’re a book club at heart! There will be plenty of opportunities to share your latest reads during our reading sessions, where we’ll discuss our books, swap recommendations, and dive into great conversations about storytelling and adventure. These sessions will be the perfect way to bond with fellow book lovers while getting inspired by each other’s stories.
