Hip Expressions Belly Dance Studio has been a cultural beacon in Tampa Bay. Two decades have seen Hip Expressions dancers perform over 7200 times in the Tampa Bay area and more than 5400 students have come through Hip Expressions Belly Dance Studio’s doors. In celebrating our vibrant community we share our art in a variety of ways and for a variety of reasons. The team at Hip Expressions is excited to invite community members to join us for a Happy Hour Belly Dance class every third Friday from 4:30-5:15.

It's the end of the week let's shake it out with some belly dancing! Seriously you've been in your head all week with obligations and responsibilities putting off taking time for you - it's time to end the cycle and transition into the weekend. This class is for EVERY body who recognizes that movement makes you feel GOOD - so shift into a positive mindset and join your fellow dancers. How well you dance doesn't matter all that's needed is a willingness to try!

Class is by donation/pay what you can. All levels and all ages welcome!

The Hip Expressions community extends beyond dance classes too. Activities like drum circle and brunch club offer students the opportunity to dance and play in a safe space and get to know one another outside of class. Student troupes carry belly dance into the Tampa Bay community dancing at events like Shopapalooza in St. Petersburg and ArtWalk in Gulfport.
