Join Black Wonderland and Planned Parenthood's BLK Frequency group as we host "A Love Song to Black Women & Femmes."
Join us on Thursday, August 21st from 5-8 pm at Revel OTR Urban Winery where we'll vibe with DJ K Chanta!
Highlighting the work to advance Black health equity at Planned Parenthood Southwest Ohio this is an opportunity to celebrate all Black women, whether cis, trans, queer, straight, or otherwise. With the attacks on DEI, the devastating loss of Medicaid and subsequent center closures, and the ongoing and persistent health inequities that impact Black communities, we know that far too often Black women bear the brunt of these issues. We also know that joy is key to our survival and essential to our health. So in the words of poet, Lucille Clifton, "come celebrate with me that everyday something has tried to K*ll me and has failed."
This space is open to all - the only requirement is love for Black women and femmes! Hope to see you there!
