Hanover Poverty Simulation with CPC
What's it like to juggle finding work, paying rent and bills, affording childcare — and lose your primary breadwinner?
What's it like to travel from place to place, not knowing where to go, repeating your story, waiting in line, running out of time?
What's it like to walk in the shoes of someone living in poverty?
Join Community Progress Council & Hanover community leaders for an interactive Poverty Simulation on Thursday, June 25.
This hands-on learning opportunity for community leaders is extended by special invitation! Step into the shoes of specific person in a low-income family and engage in short simulated "weeks" with real-time opportunities to get to work, care for your children, connect to resources, and navigate the unexpected.
Light refreshments and networking included.
5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, June 25, 2026
Hanover Borough Municipal Building
33 Frederick St., Hanover, PA 17331
Please RSVP by June 22.
