Hangout Gigs: Live

The Solving Sacramento journalism collaborative is taking our Hangout Gigs local music series on the road — and our first stop is the Torch Club, a Sacramento music institution owned by the same family since 1969!

During the event, the jazz/hip hop fusion band LabRats will sit down before the audience for a 30-minute interview for a live episode of our podcast "Creativity in the Capital," and then they'll perform a few songs. There will be time for socializing, eating food (chicken and vegetarian sliders, with potato salad) and grabbing drinks from the bar.

We see this event as a chance to pull back the curtain on how we do arts journalism, and a chance to support one of our favorite music venues in town. Hope to see you there!
