Come gather for an evening of chanting and discussions!
We are all here to search for truth, love, God. Sadly the truth is, none of us know it what that is. So we are gathering to acknowledge the divinity in all, celebrate all of the spiritual paths and look for something higher than ourselves.
What is Kirtan?
- Heart-centered gathering to sing devotional chants
- Typically a call-and-response format
- Uses the power of music and mantra to quite the mind, open the heart, and create a sense of unity.
What to expect:
- Community Kirtan (Please let me know if you're interest in leading)
- Hanuman Chalisa
- Spiritual book exchange
- Stick around after the event to meet and chat with like minded people
To bring: (None are required, but if you feel called to)
- An instrument to play along
- Any spiritual books you wouldn't mind rehoming to others
- A comfortable cushion as the ones provided are very limited
- A mug for tea and/or tea bags to share (hot water provided)
Cost:
- Event is donation based, yet no one will be turned away.
- All donations will be used to support a non-profit based in Uganda focusing on the community, environment and poverty alleviation in the area.
