Hanging of the Greens Worship Service and Potluck Brunch
We’ll gather in the sanctuary at 10:00 a.m. for this special service as we prepare our church for the coming of Christ. Through Scripture, music, prayer, and the decorating of our worship space with evergreens, wreaths, candles, and other symbols of the season, we’ll explore the meaning behind these beloved traditions and the hope they represent.
The Hanging of the Greens reminds us that we aren’t simply decorating for Christmas; we are preparing a place and preparing our hearts to welcome Christ anew.
Following the service, we’ll continue the celebration with a potluck brunch in the Fellowship Hall! Bring a favorite "breakfasty" dish to share and join us for good food, conversation, and fellowship as we begin the Advent season together.
Come help us deck the halls, prepare our hearts, and celebrate the hope, peace, joy, and love of the season!
