Deep Dive into Handstands
Establish your foundation for safe and effective handstanding through this progressive series drawing from circus, pilates and yoga. Each class will guide you through a fun-filled warm-up, exercises for mobilizing and stabilizing key joints, core tension drills, related inversions, partner exercises and relaxation. The journey to handstanding can be long, yet filled with discovery. This course is an invitation to forge new mind-body connections, sharpen your proprioception, deepen your core and tone your nervous system along the path to ‘finding your line’. Participants are encouraged to come with an open mind and a supportive attitude, as we will be co-creating an environment of mutual growth in which there will be occasional partner work. Heidi is a certified yoga and acroyoga instructor, as well as a circus artist specializing in group acrobatics and hand-to-hand.
Recommended pre-requisites:
Downward-facing dog, hold for 4 minutes with easeful breath
Push ups, x 10 consecutive
Handstand against wall, 40 seconds
Open and supportive attitude

Établissez votre fondation d’équilibres sur les mains de manière sécuritaire et efficace grâce à cette série progressive inspirée du cirque, du pilates et du yoga. Chaque cours vous guidera à travers un échauffement, des exercices pour mobiliser et stabiliser les articulations clés, des exercices de tension du tronc, des inversions connexes, des exercices avec un partenaire et de la relaxation. Le voyage vers l’équilibre sur mains peut être long, mais rempli de découvertes. Ce cours est une invitation à forger de nouvelles connexions entre le corps et l'esprit, à aiguiser votre proprioception, à approfondir votre gainage et à tonifier votre système nerveux tout au long du chemin qui vous mènera à "trouver votre ligne". Les participants sont encouragés à venir avec un esprit ouvert et une attitude de soutien, car nous allons co-créer un environnement de croissance mutuelle dans lequel il y aura un travail occasionnel avec un partenaire. Heidi est instructrice certifiée de yoga et d'acroyoga, ainsi qu'artiste de cirque spécialisée dans l'acrobatie de groupe et le main à main.
