📍 Ceramics Studio at Jane’s Art Center
Spend two days learning with renowned ceramic artist Sunshine Cobb (she/they). This hands-on workshop will focus on handbuilding basics—soft slab, coil building, and template use to create forms like vases and dishes. You’ll practice trimming, building feet, adding texture, and exploring form, all within a process-over-product approach that encourages creativity and play.
Sunshine will also share how she draws inspiration and translates abstract ideas into functional ceramics, giving you tools to foster your own creative voice.

A full-time studio artist based in Helena, MT, Sunshine is celebrated as one of today’s leading functional potters. Author of Mastering Hand Building and A Beginner’s Guide to Hand Building, her work is exhibited nationwide. She’s known for her innovative teaching and mentorship, inspiring artists at every level.
