Welcome to Hands-On Homesteading: Back to the Basics Gardening & Homesteading Series! Join us for a fun and educational hands-on series at both the Suwannee County Extension Office (1302 11th St SW in Live Oak) and Taylor County Extension Office (203 Forest Park Drive in Perry). Learn all about gardening, homesteading, and sustainable living from our expert instructors. Whether you're a seasoned homesteader or just starting out, this series has something for everyone. Don't miss out on this opportunity to get back to the basics and connect with like-minded individuals.

Class Schedule:

• August 22: Growing a Healthy Veggie Garden & Making Jam (class held at Suwannee County Extension Office 1302 11th Street SW, Live Oak FL 32064)

• August 29: Growing Your Own Herbs & All About Making Sourdough Bread (class held at Taylor County Extension Office: 203 Forest Park Drive, Perry FL 32348)

• September 5: Best Fruit to Grow in North Florida & Making Three Fresh Salsas (class held at Taylor County Extension Office: 203 Forest Park Drive, Perry FL 32348)

• September 12: Making Your Own Cheese & Cultivate Oyster Mushrooms (class held at Suwannee County Extension Office 1302 11th Street SW, Live Oak FL 32064)

All classes are from 9:45am until 3:15pm. Bring your own lunch--we will have a half-hour break for lunch (refrigerator and microwave are available at both locations).

Transportation is available; must meet at 8:30am in order to ride with the group.

Wear closed-toe shoes and hair restraints; please bring an apron to wear during class.

Ticket Prices:

• Series--all four (4) classes $60

• Individual--choose which class(s) you'd like to attend for $20 each day

Tickets are non-refundable due to supply costs. Please be sure to indicate if you have a food allergy.
