Hands on History for Kids: Revolution! Choose Your Side

Join the Fulton County Historical Society on special Thursday mornings for Hands on History at the museum! Each week, we’ll focus on a different theme and use our exhibits and collections to explore these themes in local history. We’ll finish the morning with a craft activity. This FREE program is geared toward kids ages 5-10, but all kiddos welcome!
The American Revolution forced people to make a choice: which side are you on? Would you want to remain part of England, under the rule of the King? Or would you choose to fight for independence? The people living in the Mohawk Valley had to ask themselves the same questions. This program explores daily life experiences of different fictional Mohawk Valley residents. Kids will then consider what choice they might have made in 1776. The Johnstown Chapter Daughters of the American Revolution will share information about their youth organization, Children of the American Revolution.
