Design the perfect holiday decoration this season at Hands on Heritage: Gourd Crafting from 11 a.m.- 3 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 9 at The Historic Daniel Boone Home. Paint a snowman or Santa Claus or create your own birdhouse with a gourd! Participants partake in the entire gourd crafting process: from scrubbing the gourd to preparing the surface for crafting. Participants should arrive at 11 a.m. and allow for several hours to complete their gourds as working times vary. Space is limited! Please bring a lunch. This program is for ages 12 and up. Cost is $5 per person; pre-registration is required. The program is held outdoors under a pavilion.
