Hands-On Clay Camp – Ages 8 – 13
Schedule
Mon, 20 Jul, 2026 at 09:00 am to Mon, 10 Aug, 2026 at 09:00 am
UTC-07:00Location
14700 148th Ave NE, Woodinville, WA, United States, Washington 98072 | Woodinville, WA
Throughout the week, campers will work exclusively with clay, learning professional techniques such as slab building, coil building, sculpting, joining, and texturing. Students will be encouraged to slow down, think structurally, and develop patience and problem-solving skills as they bring their ideas to life.
This is a hands-on, process-driven camp that allows kids to go deeper than a typical clay project. Because of the materials, kiln time, and individualized instruction involved, class sizes are intentionally kept smaller.
• Clay Half Day: $285
• Clay Full Day: $515
This pricing reflects the specialized materials, kiln firing, and extended studio time required for ceramic work.
Optional early drop-off (8:30–9:00 AM) and late pick-up (4:00–4:30 PM) are available.
What We’ll Create
Camp projects may include:
Handbuilt clay sculptures (animals, vessels, or imaginative forms)
Throwing bowls on the wheel
Functional ceramic pieces such as bowls, cups, or small containers
Surface design explorations using texture, carving, and pattern
Optional underglaze color techniques to enhance finished work
Projects will be ready for pick up one week after camp
Students will explore form, structure, balance, and craftsmanship while developing confidence working with clay as a serious art material.
All materials and firing are included. Campers should wear clothes that can get messy.
Hands-On Clay Camp is perfect for kids who love tactile materials, enjoy building and problem-solving, and want a deeper, more focused art experience. This camp often fills quickly due to limited space and high demand.
