Hands Off! Grand Junction Day of Action!On April 5, 2025, from 1-3pm, Mesa County Dems, Indivisible GJ, Western Colorado Alliance, Mesa County Action Coalition, and others are hosting a protest on the lawn of the Historic Lowell School Building on 7th and Grand! This is in conjunction with the nationwide protests on April 5.
Join us to protest the drastic, illegal measures being taken against our federal government offices and services, the unprecedented attacks on our civil rights and personal information, the damage being done to vital sources of scientific research, as well as the attacks on DEI efforts, trans rights, and immigrant rights… and so much more.
Bring your signs and park in the parking lot at Grand and 8th! There will be food trucks, kids' activities with Creative Spirits Colorado, and Gemini Brewing will be open. This is a nonviolent, family-friendly, peaceful protest that welcomes all people—especially former supporters of the Trump Administration who now see the damage being done. There will be activities for kids, speakers, and music.

Local Co-Hosts: Indivisible Grand Junction, Mesa County Action Coalition, Western Colorado Alliance, Mesa County Democratic Party
For the purposes of the event, the Mesa County Democratic Party is the host, and because they are tenants of the Historic Lowell School Building, they have access to bathrooms upstairs and downstairs in the building, with ADA accessible on the first floor. Ramp into the building on the south side.
