Hands of Hope Gala

One of our recent residents shared that her mother trafficked her when she was young to pay bills. Just her, not her siblings. She struggles with why her mom targeted her, but it got worse. Eventually, her mother sold her to a man in Arizona. She became part of his "stable." The girls shared a room. When they misbehaved he put them in dog kennels. And then, he sold her to a man in Seattle who kept her for himself. She was locked in a room. No one else was allowed in the room, but someone who lived in the house -- she doesn't know who -- reported something suspicious and she was "removed."
As we know, though, the actual rescue is just the beginning, and we are thrilled to share that this resident has made tremendous strides toward reclaiming her freedom. She could not have accomplished all that she has without people like you ... people who support our mission in myriad ways, including joining us for an evening that celebrates hope and fabulous futures!
