This Handgun 101 course is designed for beginners who want to learn the fundamentals of safe and effective handgun use. Whether you’re brand new or have limited experience, this class provides a clear, structured introduction to building confidence and competence with a pistol.
Students will cover essential safety principles, proper handling, and range etiquette before moving into core shooting fundamentals such as grip, stance, sight alignment, trigger control, and follow-through. The course also includes guidance on loading and unloading, basic maintenance, and how to safely store a firearm.
With a focus on hands-on learning in a supportive environment, participants will have the opportunity to practice under the guidance of experienced instructors. By the end of the class, students will leave with a solid understanding of handgun safety and operation, along with the foundational skills needed to continue training responsibly and effectively. All ammo and pistols will be provided. You may bring your own firearm but please bring matching ammo. Cost can be paid in cash on site or the purchase of a Range 2 permit.
