Handcuff Training Course - Train The Trainer - 2 day Course - In-Person

UK Patient Care is pleased to offer our Handcuff and Soft-Cuff Train the Trainer Course, designed for professionals who are required to deliver safe, lawful and effective handcuffing training within their own organisation.

This practical, instructor-level course is ideal for staff working in healthcare, security, mental health, local authority, transport, enforcement or other roles where restraint, control and personal safety may form part of operational duties.

The course covers the safe use of handcuffs and soft-cuffs, including legal considerations, risk assessment, communication, de-escalation, application techniques, removal techniques and instructor delivery skills. Learners will be supported to understand not only how to apply equipment safely, but also how to teach others with confidence, professionalism and clear awareness of risk.

Throughout the training, delegates will take part in practical scenarios, skills practice and instructor-led discussions. The focus is on safety, proportionality, dignity and accountability, with emphasis on using restraint equipment only when it is lawful, necessary and appropriate.

By the end of the course, successful learners will be equipped with the knowledge, confidence and practical skills to deliver handcuff and soft-cuff training within their organisation.
