Craft a beautiful functional slab butter dish. This workshop is perfect for beginners and a fantastic introduction to hand-building with clay.
Experience Level: Beginner
Important Information:
- This workshop is for 18+
- Minimum of 3 participants is required for the class to run with a maximum of 8
- Workshop is approximately 2hrs long with 30 minutes of that time allotted for cleanup.
- Cost is inclusive of materials, tools, and all firings
- Finished pieces are ready for pickup 3-4 weeks after the final class
- All decorating tools and templates provided
- Your piece will be bisque fired for you
- Your piece will be glazed and fired for you
- Choose between 3 glaze colours
Everyone will receive a large slab of clay with enough to create one piece. Utilize textures and tools to give your piece a unique and personalized touch—there are no limits to your creativity!
Workshop details:
What to wear: wear clothes that you can get muddy in! Aprons will NOT be provided, so don't come to class in your Sunday best. Leave jewelry; bracelets, rings, necklaces at home!
Trim your nails - there is nothing worse than finishing a piece only to gouge it with a long nail and have it destroyed!
Clean-Up: Everyone lends when it's time for clean up and you are responsible for cleaning your space as much as possible.
What to Bring:
Texture! While some texture tools will be provided, feel free to bring your own such as leaves, flowers, lace, doilies, ect. These can make your mug one of a kind and add visual interest.
