🌟 H&H Little Spurs Level 1 – Hayward, WI
Welcome to a one-of-a-kind horsemanship journey designed just for kids.
This 10-month program builds confidence, leadership, horse safety, and connection while teaching children how to understand, communicate with, and care for horses in a calm, respectful, and effective way.
This program meets every child right where they are—whether they’re brand new to horses or already spending time in the saddle.
📘 What Kids Will Learn
• Horse safety & understanding horse behavior
• How horses think, feel & communicate
• Leadership, timing & appropriate body language
• Ground control & confidence-building skills
• Parts of the horse & basic daily care
• Patience, responsibility, empathy & problem-solving
• True partnership built from the ground up
This foundation creates safer riders and more connected, respectful horses.
🗓 Class Format
Online Classroom Sessions (Zoom)
A fun, interactive way to learn the fundamentals—horse behavior, safety, communication, and early horsemanship skills.
🐴 Hands-On Arena Classes
In-person learning at the Northwest Wisconsin Equine Club, where kids practice groundwork, leadership, confidence-building skills, and foundational horsemanship.
🎉 Demo Day Celebration
A positive, supportive year-end showcase where kids share everything they’ve learned with family and friends.
🐎 Horse Information
Kids must bring their own horse to the Hayward location.
(Deer River is the only location with lesson horses available.)
This allows children to grow in partnership with the same horse throughout the year, building trust, confidence, and consistency.
