About the workshop

Learn how to use coiling technique to shape and make a unique, ceramic vessel. Participants will also learn about how to use tools, design and control the shape of their coiled pot. Materials, firing and refreshments supplied.

This workshop is suitable for all skill levels, including complete beginners.

What Should I Bring & Wear?

Wear comfortable clothing that you don’t mind getting a little messy. Clay washes off easily, but an apron or old shirt is recommended.

All materials and tools are provided, so just bring yourself and your creativity!


Artist Bio:

Based in Red Hill, Brisbane, Bec English is inspired by the belief that everyday objects should be both practical and beautiful, Bec's work celebrates thoughtful design, tactile finishes and the unique character that comes from handmade processes. Alongside her collections, she also creates custom commissions, designing one-of-a-kind pieces for homes, special occasions and meaningful gifts.

Alongside her own ceramics practice, Bec facilitates ceramics workshops and enjoys helping people discover the simple joy of working with clay.


Good to Know / FAQ:

  • Please arrive 10 minutes before the workshop begins.
  • No previous ceramics experience is required.
  • All materials and tools are provided.
  • Please wear clothes suitable for working with clay.
  • Finished pieces require drying and firing after the workshop, so they will not be available to take home on the day.
  • Collection details and timing for finished pieces will be provided at the workshop.

Workshop Cancellation Policy

Please note that if minimum numbers are not reached this workshop will be cancelled. Participants will be notified of cancellation a week prior to the workshop date and refunded accordingly.

Participant Cancellation Policy

Bookings cancelled up to one week prior to the start of the workshop will be fully refunded.

Bookings cancelled within a week prior to the start of the workshop will receive a 50% refund.

Bookings cancelled after workshop has begun will NOT be refunded.
