Hand built Ceramics Workshop - mug making and guided free play.Come and enjoy the beautiful meditative process of Slow Clay.
These days prioritising moments of creativity over our to-do lists can almost feel like a selfish act. Reclaim a bit of your time and drop in for a few of hours of messy mindfulness. Whether you’ve dabbled in clay before or it’s your first time our instructor Katie will guide you in the basic skills and techniques used to create and decorate a mug you can sip your morning coffees from for years to come. She’ll also be there to offer guidance with technique and process while you enjoy the opportunity for free play to create other ideas you might have dreamt up.
All pieces will be slow dried to minimise risk of breakage, glazed with our house white glaze, fired twice and returned to the studio for you to collect. Clay and glaze colours may vary depending upon availability.
Pieces are made using stoneware clay, ensuring strength and durability for daily use. Your pieces will be microwave and dishwasher safe.
Cost is all inclusive of materials and glazing for up to 3 pieces of pottery. Additional pieces can be fired and glazed (payment to be made direct on the day to the creative).
This is an adult open age class but is suitable for age 8 plus and no previous experience is necessary however children under the age of 14 must be accompanied by a participating adult.
All materials and light refreshments will be provided.
