A Gong Bath in Hammocks 😊

Please note: the only public access to the studio is via three stories of a fire escape. This is not for everyone. For example, Jaz, who has extreme vertigo, cannot climb the fire escape - her body just won't do it. Please consider a different event if you think this will be an issue for you.

The Gong Bath itself is the usual one hour, while the rest of the extra time is allocated to getting you all into your hammocks, drinking jasmine tea while you're coming around, and then there is time available for those who wish to chat, journal, etc. afterwards.
When in your hammock you can choose to lay back flat with your arms across your chest, or you can sit up in a meditative posture, or you can lay on your side in a sleeping position, or whatever else works for you!
There are are also floor mats available.
Please note, you will need to leave your shoes in the waiting area.

A gong bath is a unique experience in which you are bathed (clothes on)..... in the sounds and vibrations of the gongs, which lend themselves to enhanced states of well-being, relaxation, happiness and pleasure. Great for those who want to give a gift to themselves (or others) of an hour of 'me time' or as an aid to meditation and deep cleansing.
All you need to do is relax and let the gongs do the work! I will bring some jasmine tea for us to drink after the gong bath. It's lovely for slowly coming around and grounding a little. You could bring water too, to help with the detox.

Your body temperature may change during a gong bath. Many people drop in temperature. It is sensible to have a blanket at the ready (although I have some available, it is wise to bring your own in the colder months so you can double up for toasty warmth!) You might also enjoy a blanket underneath you as the hammocks can leave you feeling cool underneath (or wearing a fluffy onesie!)

Contraindications:
Please let me know in advance if you are pregnant, have a metal implant (contraceptive coils are fine) or pacemaker, suffer from a sound sensitive condition, have epilepsy or have any query regarding the suitability of a gong bath for you.
