• When & How Much? Friday, 28th August–Tuesday, 1st September (4 nights), £90 each—including a Friday feast of lasagna!
• Horsey Bits: Limited stables up top or bring your own fencing for a DIY corral (don’t forget your own mucking kit and water buckets). Haylage and straw are plentiful—just tidy up after yourself. Wheelbarrows provided!
• Sleeping Arrangements: Bring your own camping kit for a rustic stay under the stars.
• Facilities Galore: Showers and loos (expect queues), barn with fridge/freezer, microwave, gas cooker, and hot water for a brew. Plug sockets for gadgets, but the mobile signal is dodgy. Full use of indoor arena, jumping field, and XC course. Lessons with Steph available—contact Jane for details. Maps on hand for epic local hacks (tell someone where you’re off to!). No solo riding on the XC—body protectors needed!
• Safety First: Always ride with a buddy, wear a hat to current standards and the right gear when mounted.
• Info & Contacts: Maps and emergency numbers in the meeting barn.
• Foodie Highlights: Friday: Lasagna night. Saturday & Sunday: Dinner at Moors Inn (marquee). Monday: Blacksmiths meal (lift needed). Menus to follow—order through Sarah! Bring your own brekkie, lunch, drinks, and tipples.
• Shops: None nearby, so pack everything you’ll need.
• Vibe Check: No strict plan—just chill, ride, and enjoy good company and countryside!
• Packing List: Bring a comfy chair for sitting out on an evening if the weather plays ball. Don’t forget a mug, plate, and cutlery. Drinks (including alcohol), towels, tea towels. Horse’s hard feed, water bucket for paddocks (some stables have drinkers). Mucking out gear (some bits on site belong to liveries). Most importantly, a sense of fun
