About this Event
Changing Faces Theater Company Presents
William Shakespeare's HAMLET
Directed by Mike Bartram & Sabrina Willis-Bartram
The setting is a surveillance state in the maybe-not-so-distant future. The world has been ravaged by war and plagued by illness. In these troubling times, humanity searches for a return to order. Denmark has a new king, set on restoring tradition and imbuing loyalty; however, the circumstances of his rise to power remain... questionable. Hamlet, the prince of Denmark and nephew to King Claudius, is a nonconformist set on seeking the truth, which ultimately becomes a self-destructive obsession. As Hamlet unravels, so do the systems that protect the crown. One man’s desire for power versus another man’s desire for revenge result in bloody consequences for all.
