Get ready, Hamilton! We're turning up the filmy heat with a Bollywood dance workshop full of sass, swag, and lots of fun!

A little about my workshops!
Hi, I am Shruti - founder and creative director of Dancepiration NZ. I have been training in Bharatnatyam since the young age of 6 and more recently have been trained in Kathak and Contemporary dance forms and continue my contemporary training under the trainers of Terence Lewis. I specialize in Lyrical Contemporary as my dance niche and style, and will aim to impart some of my learnings with you in these workshops, as applicable.
My workshops are a safe space for everyone wherein I aim to provide an environment where you can feel comfortable and unleash the inner dancer in yourself. Through my workshops, I aim to provide you with some learning, lots of fun, exercise and a chance to meet like minded individuals. My workshops are beginner friendly and open to everyone - kids, adults, dancers, non-dancers - literally everyone!
In each workshop, I aim to teach about 40 seconds to 1 minute piece of choreography, incorporating a blend of basic technique and fun choreography steps. The last 30mins of the workshop is for you to finesse the choreography and shoot some videos.My ultimate goal is to help you build confidence and provide you with a safe space, where there is no pressure and where you can be yourself and leave feeling like you have learnt something - more importantly leave feeling good!
I hope to impart my dance knowledge and learnings with the Hamilton community through this workshop. After running workshops in Auckland, I am absolutely stoked to be hosting my first workshop in Hamilton and bring my love for bollywood dance over to you.
I cannot wait to see you and dance with you Hamiltonians! No prior dance experience is necessary - just bring yourself and your love for dance.
