Halloween Lanterns: Clay Handbuilding Workshop

Create your own little crew of spooky lanterns to light up the season! In this fun and beginner-friendly clay class, you’ll learn how to handbuild small 4-6″ lanterns with simple techniques that anyone can enjoy.
Our sample designs include a mummy, pumpkin and cone-shaped ghost, but you can put your own personality into your lanterns and create your own Halloween characters. You’ll make two lanterns during class for $45, and if you have time, you can make additional lanterns for $20 each. Make a whole crew of Halloween fun!
No previous clay experience is needed. These lanterns are simple and easy to build, making this a great class for beginners as well as seasoned clay artists.
After class, your lanterns will need about 7 days to dry before they are bisque fired. Once they are ready, you’ll get to come back during our regular drop-in hours to glaze your pieces. We’ll take care of the final firing, and your finished lanterns will be ready for pickup after firing.
A $10 instructional fee is due when you register. You’ll choose and pay for your clay projects at the class. Two lanterns are included for $45, with additional lanterns available for $20 each if time allows.
