Overview: (19+) Get ready to haunt the dance floor! Nanaimo Pride is thrilled to present the ultimate Halloween party. Step into a spooky night filled with high-energy music from our live DJ, thrilling pop-up performances and non-stop dancing. Dust off your wildest, most creative costumes for a chance to win spectacular prizes, snap unforgettable memories with your crew at the photo booth, or take a quick breather to play a round of pool or darts. Whether you are bringing ghoulish glam, classic monster realness or something totally out of this world, come celebrate in a vibrant, safe and inclusive space.
This is a 19+ event with a licensed bar, but no one’s expected to drink to enjoy themselves. There will be plenty of water, non-alcoholic options, and quiet corners to take a break, regroup, or recharge. The Safe Space Crew will be on hand throughout the night to help you feel welcome and supported.
What this event is:
This is a 19+ indoor Pride dance held in a large event room, upstairs at the Nanaimo Curling Club. It includes a live DJ, with open dancing throughout the evening. Sound will be amplified and lighting will be dim with dynamic and colourful decorative lighting, but no strobes. It’s a high-energy environment with lots of movement and music, but there’s space to take breaks and step out if needed. There is a wheelchair-accessible photo booth service on site as well, at no charge.
Accessibility:
Mobility: Fully wheelchair-accessible venue with elevator access from ground level.
Seating: Low tables with chairs throughout the venue. Reserved accessibility seating available upon request. Companion seating is also accommodated. Please email [email protected] to arrange.
Restrooms: Gender-inclusive multi-stall washrooms and a wheelchair accessible washroom.
Parking and Transit: There is onsite parking. Bus route 30 will bring you closest to the event. Find more transit info here.
Other Services: Water and snacks will be available on-site. Coat racks. There is no interpretation or captioning at this event. There is no dedicated sensory support space, however, a quieter area is available.

Sensory Notes: Loud music and dynamic lighting (no strobes or smoke machines); 200 attendees expected. A quieter area is available and you are able to go outside as needed.
