Haley Weaver: Give Me Space But Don't Go Far

Anxiety has been one step behind Haley Weaver her entire life, trailing her like a shadow. For the author and illustrator, making webcomics about mental health and relationships helped her along her journey of learning to work with anxiety, rather than against it. Her new memoir, Give Me Space But Don't Go Far, tells the story of a young woman's unlikely friendship with anxiety— ultimately concluding that with care, practice, and patience, we can learn to co-exist with our anxiety (and maybe even love it).

Deeply personal and full of heart, this memoir brings light, levity and color to a subject too often left in the dark. Her illustrations have been featured on notable accounts and websites including Bustle, Betches, New York Magazine, the Huffington Post, and Bored Panda. She lives in Seattle with her partner and, of course, her anxiety.
