Haitian Consciousness Summit
About this Event
The Haitian Consciousness Summit is a two-day convening at Florida International University, in the tradition of the 1945 Fifth Pan-African Congress. Our theme is consciousness — the road from occupation to a free Haiti.
Day one opens with a vision session and testimony. From there, attendees join working groups tackling real challenges facing Haiti today — security, culture and memory, and diaspora and funding — producing concrete proposals that feed into a final Declaration. This is not a conference to sit through; it's one to act on.
Expect an experiential atmosphere — live music, testimony, and art — so a free Haiti isn't just discussed, it's felt. We're bringing together students with seasoned leaders in business, politics, education, and the arts to guide the work.
Admission is by donation — $20 for both days, $10 for a single day — because this work deserves to be valued, not given away.
