Welcome to the 60's! Elysian is thrilled to announce auditions for our spring production of Hairspray! Hairspray is a beautiful story about seeing past one-another’s differences and finding our commonality in an effort to make the world a more beautiful place, while paving the way for a brighter tomorrow. This sentiment directly lines up with Elysian’s vision for the performing arts in our community. We chose Hairspray, and our upcoming production of Fences, for our 2025 season to create a more inclusive Elysian. We hope to reach underrepresented communities for more involvement in local performing arts, and to ignite conversations and actions that lead to a more culturally rich, and proactively welcoming community theater family across the surrounding areas.
This particular production is not possible without the involvement of the black community. We believe that this production is timely for a world that can feel so divided. Join Elysian in our effort to shine the light of acceptance and love to our community, and surrounding areas.
