The One Hundred Year Study on Artificial Intelligence (AI100) is a longitudinal study organized out of Stanford HAI and managed by a standing committee of AI insiders around the world. Its mission is to assess AI not as a snapshot, but as an evolving force across technical, ethical, economic, and societal domains. Every five years, we return to ask and answer the same standing questions in a changing world.
The 2026 report is commissioned by the standing committee and led by study panel chair Mike Wooldridge, Chair of Computer Science at Oxford University.
This talk will cover key insights from the third report, released in October 2026.
