In celebration of Philippine Heritage Month in Alberta, the Philippine Consulate General in Calgary (PCG Calgary) in partnership with Honorary Consul General Emeritus Felixberto Guerrero presents HABLON.
Hablon is a special fashion showcase celebrating Filipino heritage, creativity, and contemporary fashion through the designs of internationally recognized Filipina designer Jaki Peñalosa.
The one-night event will celebrate the artistry, creativity, and cultural heritage reflected in Ms. Peñalosa’s designs, which beautifully fuse traditional Filipino craftsmanship with contemporary elegance. The showcase aims to bring together business, cultural, and community leaders in an evening that highlights Filipino fashion, creativity, and cultural expression. Net Proceeds from the event will also support the Iloilo Hablon Weavers Association and the Calgary Bridge Foundation for Youth (CBFY), reflecting a shared commitment to cultural preservation and community development.
