Habitat Restoration at Four Mile Run Park

Join us in removing non-native invasive plants and planting/maintaining native vegetation for ecosystem and wildlife benefits.
About this Event

Four Mile Run Park is home to a great diversity of flora and fauna, and invasive plant species reduce this biodiversity as they crowd out the plants that support pollinators, birds, and other wildlife. Using hand tools, volunteers at our invasive removal events will tackle such notable invasives as English ivy, porcelain berry, cutleaf teasel, kudzu, Japanese knotweed, and others, and plant native shrubs and trees.
