Interested in becoming a homeowner? Join Habitat for Humanity of St. Joseph County for a free Homeownership Information Meeting to learn how our affordable homeownership program can help you achieve your dream of owning a home.

During this meeting, you'll learn how the program works, the qualifications and requirements to apply, income guidelines, the application process, and what to expect throughout the journey to homeownership. Habitat staff will also explain the partnership expectations, including homebuyer education classes, financial readiness, and volunteer (sweat equity) hours.

Attendance at one of these information meetings is required before you can submit a pre-qualification application for the program.

Basic eligibility includes:

• Minimum annual household income of $42,000
• Demonstrated need for affordable housing
• Ability to pay an affordable mortgage
• Willingness to partner with Habitat throughout the program
