Maurer School of Law teams up with Habitat for Humanity of Monroe CountyAbout the Build // After participating in Habitat's Women+ Build event the last two years, the Maurer School of Law is excited to expand our support in 2025 and open up this build to everyone in the law community. This year, we will be joining Habitat as they launch their fall framing blitz, with the goal of framing FIVE homes.
We have committed to raising $10,000 to sponsor these homes, and will be hosting a volunteer build day on site on Friday, October 24, 2025 from 8am to 4pm.
Build With Us // We invite Maurer School of Law students, staff, faculty, alumni, and local law professionals to join us in raising funds and walls for Habitat. What to Expect // On the build day, Habitat will provide water, coffee, snacks, lunch, build t-shirt and all necessary tools and safety equipment. After a safety orientation, you will be split into smaller groups, led by knowledgeable crew leaders who will show you the ropes while maintaining a safe, efficient and FUN work environment for the day.
