Mae Gŵyl Tawe, gŵyl gelfyddydol iaith Gymraeg Abertawe, yn dychwelyd gyda rhaglen eang newydd ar draws canol y ddinas ar benwythnos y 5ed a'r 6ed o Fehefin 2026.Ar y nos Wener bydd gig agoriadol newydd yn lleoliad The Bunkhouse gyda The Joy Formidable. Mae'r Joy Formidable yn dychwelyd i Abertawe gyda'u sioe electrig gyntaf ers dwy flynedd wrth i ddrymiwr newydd, Dafydd Cartwright, ymuno â’r band. Ar ôl cyfnod o ryddhau recordiau unigol a chwarae sioeau acwstig, mae Ritzy Bryan (llais/gitâr) a Rhydian Dafydd (bas/llais) yn dychwelyd i sŵn sinematig y band, gyda cherddoriaeth newydd yn dod yn 2026. Mae'r sioeau eraill ar y gorwel yn cynnwys y Royal Albert Hall gyda’r Manic Street Preachers, a chefnogi The Cure yn eu sioe yng Nghaerdydd ym mis Mehefin.
Yn ymuno â The Joy Formidable yn The Bunkhouse bydd sŵn mawr ac alawon cain Breichiau Hir, yr arloesol Pat Morgan o Datblygu, a pync neo-rave minimalaidd Crinc.

Gŵyl Tawe, Swansea’s Welsh language-led music and arts festival, returns with a new expanded programme taking over the city centre on the weekend of the 5th and 6th of June 2026.
The Friday night sees a new opening gig at The Bunkhouse music venue headlined by The Joy Formidable. The Joy Formidable bring the volume back to Swansea with their first electric show in two years at Gŵyl Tawe, joined by new drummer Dafydd Cartwright. After a season of solo adventures and stripped-back shows, Ritzy Bryan (vocals/guitar) and Rhydian Dafydd (bass/vocals) plug back into the band’s cinematic sound, with new music coming in 2026. Upcoming dates include the Royal Albert Hall with Manic Street Preachers and support for The Cure at their Cardiff show in June.
Joining The Joy Formidable at The Bunkhouse will be the crushing noise and delicate melodies of Breichiau Hir, the pioneering Pat Morgan of Datblygu, and the minimalist punk neo-rave of Crinc.
