Two titans of Aussie rock n’ roll - GYROSCOPE and MAGIC DIRT - team up for a rip-roarer of a double bill on Friday, December 5 at the Lion Arts Factory!Since their inception in 1997, GYROSCOPE have become an undeniable mainstay within the Australian music scene, with highs such as a #1 ARIA chart debut (for their certified Gold album Breed Obsession), multiple Triple J Hottest 100 appearances, plus sharing the stage with Foo Fighters, Jimmy Eat World, Blink 182, Brand New, Cold Chisel, Dashboard Confessional and Get Up Kids, among others. MAGIC DIRT will be celebrating 25 years of their classic track Dirty Jeans. From a scrappy cassette recording in a Melbourne share house, the song evolved into their first ever charting single and a career-defining anthem. Originally scribbled down and recorded by Adalita in 1999, then transformed with Greg Wales into the pop-grunge classic you know today, Dirty Jeans was released in July 2000 on the band’s third album What Are Rock Stars Doing Today.
