About this Event
Join us for the Fitness Street & The Edinburgh Combat Project Open Day and come and see where martial arts meets high-performance training, with community at its core.
After a major refurbishment and five months of hard work, we are excited to open our doors and welcome everyone into the gym.
Whether you already train with us, have been thinking about joining, or simply want to see what Fitness Street is all about, this is your chance to come along, meet the team and experience the facility for yourself.
Throughout the day, you can:
- Take part in a circuit class
- Try one of our martial arts classes
- Come in for a workout and use the gym facilities
- Meet some of the brilliant personal trainers based at Fitness Street and find the right PT to help you achieve your goals
- Learn more about The Edinburgh Combat Project and the work we do with children and young people
- Grab a coffee, have a chat and get to know the community behind the gym
Fitness Street is also home to the Edinburgh PT Academy, so if you have ever thought about turning fitness into your future career, come and speak to James McKeen about the academy and his next cohort.
Train for a good cause
All proceeds from the Open Day will go directly to The Edinburgh Combat Project (SC052578), our registered charity supporting children and young people who are struggling with their mental and/or physical health to access and stay involved in structured martial arts programmes.
Through martial arts, we help young people build confidence, resilience, friendships and positive routines, while removing financial barriers that might otherwise stop them from taking part.
We are a small independent gym with a big community behind it, and an incredible amount of work has gone into creating the facility you see today.

With only 4 spaces in each session you can experience what it would be like joining our expert coaches as they help you achieve your goals in this semi-private session.

Muay Thai Beginners (adults) with Pawel Zakrzewski
Info: Have you been wanting to try martial arts but never booked in? This is your sign to finally join one of our classes with head coach Pawel. This session is suitable for complete beginners and no equipment is needed. We have got the gloves and shinnies - just come as you are.

Junior Muay Thai (7-15yo) with Jamie Allan
Info: Our junior programme is at the core of everything The Edinburgh Combat Project does. We would love to welcome kids and young people to try out junior Muay Thai session with none other than Jamie Allan. All children aged 7-15yo are welcome and no previous experience is required.

Gym Day Pass
Info: Come and try out our first class facility after it's recent full refurb. General fitness, hyrox, powerlifting, olympic weight lifting - we got it all. We can give you a little gym tour if you would like or you can just go and enjoy the state of art facility.
